Student Services

Graduation

The University hosts yearly graduations for all classes completing the course by June of each year. All graduates who complete the course within the year to be celebrated will be acknowledged. Guest speakers and scholarship awards will be announced at the ceremony.

Career Placement

The massage therapy field is growing and expanding in a national trend toward natural health care, wellness and the acceptance of integrated medical treatment. Dedicated and committed graduates have great employment potential in the field.

While the University cannot guarantee career placement, we do receive regular inquiries and notices of job openings. AUHA maintains a list of potential employment opportunities and assists graduates in the process. Business and promotional strategies are offered as a part of the AUHA Business Management, Marketing, Ethics, and Professionalism courses.

Student Records

Student records and information are considered confidential. Students have access to their administrative and academic files by appointment only with the Director or Assistant Director. For the University to release student information to any individual or agency, a written or direct request from the student and a $5.00 record fee.

Tutoring

Students who have not met academic or attendance standards may be required to, or choose to, have a tutor. Approved instructors may be contacted through the Assistant Director. Students will need to pay any related fees directly to their tutor.

Library

The AUHA library is open at any time during school operation. Reference books, charts and videos are available fro students to check out while in the program. Library checkout policies are explained in the student handbook.

Continuing Education

The University hosts additional state and nationally approved continuing education courses at various times throughout the year. AUHA also assists licensed graduates whomay be accepted to p articipate in classroom instruction as an assistant to a designated instructor. This extended training program allows graduates to upgrade for Master and Instructor certifications.
