Graduation
The University hosts yearly graduations for all
classes completing the course by June of each year. All graduates who complete
the course within the year to be celebrated will be acknowledged. Guest
speakers and scholarship awards will be announced at the ceremony.
Career Placement
The massage therapy field is growing and expanding
in a national trend toward natural health care, wellness and the acceptance
of integrated medical treatment. Dedicated and committed graduates have
great employment potential in the field.
While the University cannot guarantee career placement,
we do receive
regular inquiries and notices of job openings. AUOHA maintains
a list of potential employment opportunities and assists graduates in the
process. Business and promotional strategies are offered as a part of the
AUHA Business Management, Marketing, Ethics, and Professionalism courses.
Student Records
Student records and information are considered
confidential. Students have access to their administrative and academic
files by appointment only with the Director or Assistant Director. For the
University to release student information to any individual or agency, a
written or direct request from the student and a $5.00 record fee.
Tutoring
Students who have not met academic or attendance
standards may be required to, or choose to, have a tutor. Approved instructors
may be contacted through the Assistant Director. Students will need to pay
any related fees directly to their tutor.
Library
The AUHA library is open at any time during school
operation. Reference books, charts and videos are available fro students
to check out while in the program. Library checkout policies are explained
in the student handbook.
Continuing Education
The University hosts additional state and nationally
approved continuing education courses at various times throughout the year.
AUOHA also assists licensed graduates who may be accepted to participate
in classroom instruction as an assistant to a designated instructor. This
extended training program allows graduates to upgrade for Master and Instructor
certifications.
